Today I paid a visit to the North Wales Wildlife reserve, Big Pool Wood, located near Gronant.
A single hide over looks a pool surrounded by reedbed, which is encircled by a footpath. Plenty of feeders around the footpath, and right in front of the hide giving fantastic photo opportunities. Mainly woodland birds, but plenty to see
Cetti’s Warbler, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Long-Tailed Tit, Coal Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Dunnock, Robin, Sparrowhawk, Blackbird, Moorhen, Water Rail (Heard only) and a rather out of place Cormorant.
