Burton Mere Wetlands 25th March 2019

A day spent in sunshine is rarely wasted, and when it involves photographic (or trying to photograph) Bearded Tit, then it definitely isn’t wasted.

Starting off with the female Long-Tailed Duck on the border pool (viewed from the cycle path, a nice Flintshire tick), and then onto the reserve itself where 6 (possibly 7) Bearded Tit we around the Reed bed screen and Marsh Covert Hide. Reed Bunting, Little Grebe and Little Egret kept us entertained whilst waiting for the elusive ‘Beardies’
