With the water frozen over at Burton, I was hoping to grab some pictures of Bearded Reedlings foraging at the edge of the reedbed. No such luck. However, a Water Vole was hiding in a pile of cut reeds and made a dash for it over the ice.
Then on to Talacre to look for Snow Bunting. A single, unbelievably confiding bird, was feeding along the strand line
