Burton marsh and Iceland Gull

An early morning walk along the cycle path along side Burton Marsh before work gave nice photo opportunities for Mallard, Marsh Harrier, Meadow Pipit and Stonechat. There were still a good number of Pink-Footed Goose still on the marsh, with them moving off to their daily feeding grounds.

A work trip to Rhyl, around lunchtime meant I picked up a lifer in the the long staying Iceland Gull at Brickfield Ponds, which has taken to sitting on a particular lamp post. Turn the corner, and there it is! My kind of birding.
